How Pricing Works
Two things move the number from there. Add-ons you choose to include, like retouching, backgrounds bundle, or name personalization, push the per-student cost up. The number of students you are covering pulls it down, since volume earns a discount.
If the base photo is all you need, $1.99 per student is the most you will pay, and volume brings it below that. Once add-ons and enrollment are both in the mix, the math is specific to your school, so that comes with a quote. If you buy through an RFP or a procurement process, we are set up to work that way.

What the Base Photo Includes

A Classic Background
You pick one background for your download, Slate, Horizon, Sandstone, or Evergreen, and every portrait in your directory comes back on it. The photos are shot in a hundred different living rooms; your directory looks like one school.
Studio Light, No Studio
A studio controls the light so a face looks even and true. A home does not. We correct the color cast and even out the light, so a photo taken at home reads like a real portrait across your whole roster.
The Classic School Crop
That familiar head-and-shoulders crop is what makes an image read as a school portrait, not a snapshot. It is applied automatically to every photo, so every student in your directory matches.
High-Resolution Files
Every portrait comes back at full resolution, sharp enough for an ID badge, a printed directory, or a yearbook page. They are standard JPEGs, so they open and drop into whatever system you already use.
Formatted for Your SIS
Files come back named and organized for your student information system, with the details you need for identification already attached. No renaming a thousand files by hand.
Every Student Covered
Every enrolled student gets a portrait, including the ones who were out that day or spread across the map. They submit within a window you set, so no one is missing from the directory.

No. There is nothing to schedule, no equipment to rent, and no travel or sitting fees. You buy the credits you need, nothing more, and absent students are covered within the same window at no extra charge.
You do not have to, but we recommend it. Photos can be uploaded any time there are credits available, so there is no hard deadline and nothing to schedule. A picture day or picture week gives families a reason to act, drives participation, and turns a routine task into a shared event, even for a school without a building to gather in. You set the window, we track submissions in real time, and anyone who misses it can still submit afterward while credits last.
For portraits taken at home, no. You buy the credits and give the finished portraits to families at no charge, as a benefit of enrollment. Setting a price for families is only part of the on-site option, where your staff takes the photos and you can run picture day as a fundraiser.
Photos and student data are retained through the end of the school year, so you have full access to them all year, and then they are permanently deleted from our servers. The files come formatted for your SIS and are yours to use for IDs, directories, and yearbooks.
